Support Groups

Our ongoing support groups include an open grief support group and bereaved parent support group. Our time-limited groups include caregivers support, yoga for grief and loss, and sudden unexpected death.

Grieving Parent Support Group

Next meeting - Wednesday June 3, 5:30pm
This in-person support group meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 5:30-6:45pm. Facilitated by Certified Grief Coach Jai Miranda, the group is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a child through death, miscarriage, suicide, estrangement, or other forms of loss. Group limited to 12 participants 18 and older.
Group meets at Hope for the Future in Greencastle, 11 N. Indiana Street.

Community Support Group

Next meeting - Tuesday May 5 at 2:30pm 
This support group is open to anyone grieving a loss. Find a supportive space to share your grief, learn from and with others, and give and receive support. Group limited to 12 participants 18 and older. There is no charge to participate. Group meets at the Valryian Place Senior Community, 1602 Hospital Drive Greencastle, IN 46135

Yoga for Grief and Loss

5:30pm, Thursday June 4 - July 9
St. John's Episcopal Church, Crawfordsville
 
This support group provides a safe space to share your grief and receive support from others. Learn how breath and movement can ease the stress and anxiety that arises. NO yoga experience ncessary. Group limited to 12 participants 18 and older. There is no charge to participate. Donations are gratefully accepted. 
Registration is required. 

Engage your Grief through Yoga

This workshop is a compassionate space to explore how grief and trauma live within the body—and how mindful movement can help release, integrate, and heal. Through gentle yoga, breathwork, and guided awareness, participants will learn to connect with their experience of loss in nurturing ways. No experience with yoga is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing. Workshop limited to 18 participants.

 Caregivers Support Group (virtual)

Next meeting: Group is not currently meeting.
This bi-weekly support group provides a safe space where individuals providing care for loved ones with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or aging issues can come together to share their experiences, challenges, and successes. Led by a certified grief counselor, this program offers emotional support, practical advice, and a sense of community with others facing similar situations. This is a virtual group via zoom and is limited to 15 participants There is no charge to participate. Donations are gratefully accepted. 

Pet Loss Grief Group

Join Amherst Writer Gwynn Wills and Certified Grief Facilitator Kelly Shea for this healing workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to share their stories of loss through conversation and writing. The group is sponsored by Quest for Balance Wellness and Crawfordsville Veterinary Clinic and donations will benefit the Animal Welfare League.
