Tai chi Walking

Tai Chi walking has been gaining attention on social media—and for good reason. Walking is already one of the simplest ways to support overall health, and when combined with Tai Chi principles, it offers even greater benefits: improved balance, increased strength, a calmer mind, and enhanced inner energy.

Tai Chi Walking at Quest for Balance Wellness is a 2-hour class that introduces participants to walking and arm movements from Yang Style Tai Chi. It’s an ideal starting point for anyone curious about beginning a Tai Chi practice or for those looking to add something new and mindful to their fitness routine. Tai Chi walking requires little space and no special equipment. Join us to experience this ancient martial art and its proven benefits for both body and mind.

We’ll practice Tai Chi walking in three directions: walking forward with Wild Horse’s Mane hands, walking sideways with Cloud Hands, and walking backward with Repulse the Monkey movements. We’ll also integrate breath work into our steps and explore key principles of Tai Chi—moving slowly and continuously, maintaining upright posture, and feeling as if we’re moving against a gentle, invisible force.
