Coming in November: Restorative Yoga with Laura Conners

Sunday, November 3, 2019 4:00 – 5:30 PM RESTORATIVE YOGA is a gentle form of yoga with passive postures to open the body, quiet the mind, and move into a deep sense of relaxation. A quiet time to cultivate awareness of body, breath, and mind; this class is recommended for those experiencing stress, recovering from injury or illness, and anyone seeking a gentle class to unwind, relax, and renew. Please wear comfortable layers of clothing so you stay warm during relaxation. Props are provided. Restorative yoga class is limited to 12 students. PRE-REGISTRATION online or in the studio is required. Class fee $25.

Details for each of the upcoming events at the studio in October

Pilates -Thursdays at 5:30pm
Challenge yourself with this six week series offered by a master instructor. Series meets September 12 through October 17
Yoga for Alignment and Balance, Fridays at 10:15am
Led by Deanna Burkett, RYT200, this class emphasizes alignment and somatic awareness as a way to understand the body and bring balance to the system. Flowing sequences and sun salutations typical of a Vinyasa practice are not part of the class format, however, transitions between postures are intentionally guided. The class combines standing, seated, kneeling, supine, and prone positions with modifications gladly offered. Yogis will experience individual challenges on the mat and find success in the process. All levels welcome, no experience is necessary.
Weekly Meditation and Sound Healing Sunday
Sunday afternoons at 4pm, join Deanna Burkett and/or studio owner j as we join in a meditation practice and discussion about the benefits of mindfulness. $5 donation.
